10 Manchester United Transfers Could Happen In Final Week Of Summer Window

Man Utd have just one week remaining to sign any new players in the summer transfer window. Manchester United are running out of time if they are to significantly strengthen their side in the summer transfer window……..10 Manchester United Transfers Could Happen In Final Week Of Summer Window

Man United Enter The Battle For No.9 Premier League Centre-Forward

Donny van de Beek remains the only new arrival at Old Trafford since they secured Champions League qualification last season, after United agreed a £35million deal with Ajax for his services.
United might very well need to try and parade Dean Henderson as ‘like a new signing’ given he has returned from two years at Sheffield United and made his debut, but for most fans that simply won’t cut it.

Ed Woodward warned it wouldn’t be ‘business as usual’ for United in the summer window, but it has been a similar sense of deja vu for supporters with rival clubs freely outspending them, even in the difficult financial climate.
As things stand it has been an underwhelming transfer window after United’s return to the Champions League and the riches which go along with it, but they still have one week to ensure it is a success.
Over the next seven days we could see as many as 10 transfers involving United before the deadline on 5 October, although it seems unlikely we’ll even see half of that the way things have been going so far.
MEN Sport reported at the start of the month United are still working on up to three more signings before the transfer window closes, although with only one week left it seems incredibly unlikely for that to happen.
It might sound like a broken record but Jadon Sancho remains the priority target ahead of next week’s deadline, while Alex Telles and Vitaliy Mykolenko are both being considered as possible additions at left-back.
MEN Sport also understand United are in the market for a centre-back and a centre forward if the right opportunity arises, but it seems unlikely they would get both.
In terms of departures there are seven first-team players who have been linked with exits this summer still at the club, again it seems unlikely they will all leave.
Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero are quite clearly surplus to requirements and will all be free to leave if a club makes a reasonable offer over the next week.

Andreas Pereira is attracting interest from abroad as he searches for regular first-team football and Jesse Lingard is free to go, although Tottenham have no interest in taking him.
Phil Jones and Diogo Dalot both remain out of favour and have been linked with exits over the summer months, although neither of them currently have offers on the table to go elsewhere.
In an ideal world United would let all seven of them go as they look to significantly trim their squad, but it is far easier said than done.

Moving onto the youth team and there could still be further departures there before the deadline is up as well. Ethan Laird featured twice in the Europa League last season and is currently at a crossroads in his career, while Di’Shon Bernard is another who has been earmarked for a potential loan move.
Max Taylor had an unsuccessful trial at MK Dons and saw his loan to Macclesfield fall through earlier this month, but is still hopeful of securing a Football League loan move in the coming days.
United’s mixed start to the season comes with the caveat further investment could be on the way, but with only one week left of the summer transfer window time is running out to make such fantasy a reality.
