Another German Player Hits The Top Of Chelsea’s Left Back Priority List
Chelsea are looking at a new name for the left back position, according to reports in Germany.Having already signed German striker Timo Werner, and are advancing on his compatriot Kai Havertz (as per Sky Sports), Chelsea are now prioritising a third German player in the shape of Robin Gosens from Atalanta. German publication Kicker ran the report yesterday, suggesting that as well as Chelsea, Gosens is wanted by Inter Milan, Juventus, and Hertha Berlin.
26-year old Gosens has had a breakout season if you like, after being converted from a midfielder to a left wing back. Kicker say he was on the brink of being called up for the German international side before the global pandemic struck.
The former Vitesse academy player has now found himself at the top of Chelsea’s wish list for the left back area.
Although his profile may not exactly fit what Chelsea are looking for, with them chasing more of an out and out left back.
