Sport1 have also interviewed the talented midfielder, and he was quizzed how the Bavarian club convinced him to snub approaches from the Gunners and Blaugrana in favour of joining them.
“When, as a very young player, I heard that Bayern wanted me, it naturally triggered something in me. It was a whoah feeling,” Rhein said.
“It is every player’s dream to play for a club like this one day. When I came to Munich and was shown the Allianz Arena, I came to the conclusion: I want to take this step! The club and this story convinced me.”
The Germany Under-18 international can operate as a No.8 or No.6 but he revealed playing as the latter helps to express himself.
He joins a long list of players the north London side failed to sign over the years. The ace’s current deal with Hansi Flick’s outfit lasts until 2022.
Meantime, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano states Arsenal are open to allowing midfielder Matteo Guendouzi to return to the club next campaign.
