Arsenal Started Negotiations With 18-Year-Old Scottish Defender
Ibane Bowat has become a hot prospect in the market, with the London giants now emerging as one of the possible destinations. U19 Scotland international currently plies his trade with the Fulham youth academy and is regarded as one of the most promising footballers to come out of the academy in recent years….Arsenal Started Negotiations With 18-Year-Old Scottish Defender
Although Ibane is currently a member of the Cottagers youth side and not the senior one, Fulham are intent on retaining his services for the long term. Bowat’s current contract, though, expires at the end of the campaign, putting clubs like Arsenal, Everton, West Ham United and even Koln on red alert.
Although it appears a move to Bundesliga is off the table, Arsenal could emerge as the perfect destination for the 18-year-old centre-back, who will be aiming to make his breakthrough in a PL side next campaign.
A centre-back by trade, the Scottish defender has primarily played in the U18 PL, during his time at Fulham so far, making quite an impression with his composure and height that makes him an intimidating presence at the heart of the defence.
However, it is about time Ibane makes a step forward in his career, and a move to Arsenal, in that regard, should be an interesting option. Arsenal have produced and nurtured a lot of young talents over the years, including stars such as Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.
In Ibane, Gunners would find themselves a talented centre-back, who is more than capable of making a mark not only in the Elite Development Squad but also in the first-team. As a result, the Scottish centre-back has been dominating the youth tournaments.
