Chelsea In Pole Position To Sign PL No 10 Forward
Chelsea are reportedly frountrunners to secure the services of soon-to-be free agent Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine international forward will end his glittering 10-year stint at Etihad Stadium when his deal expires in the summer, and numerous team across the continent are believed to be looking to secure his services.
Barcelona, Juventus and PSG have all been rumoured with the 32-year-old forwardm however, his preference is believed to play in another club in the English top-tier.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are hoping to win the race for Aguero’s services after losing out on the prolific centre-forward 10 years ago, and his yearly wage demand of £13m would not be an issue for the Blues.
The report claims that Argentine forward would never consider a move to Man City’s direct rivals Manchester United, while Liverpool are prioritising defensive reinforcements for the 2021-22 season.
The Citizens would be believed to dip into their war chest for a big-name centre-forward this summer, however, Guardiola has revealed that the current financial climate could make it “impossible” to get a deal for a world-class centre-forward to replace Aguero.
Sources from Spain claim that Leo Messi is keen on to play with Sergio Aguero and former Atletico Madrid forward could make a return to La Liga as well.
