English Stopper Will Consider Quitting Man United If This Happens
Manchester United’s Dean Henderson has told manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he will seek to quit the club this summer transfer market if he is not installed as a first-choice shot-stopper next term…………English Stopper Will Consider Quitting Man United If This Happens
The Englishman returned to Old Trafford last year after an impressive two-year loan stint with Sheffield United but the Spain international David De Gea has retained his place as the first choice.
Dean has mainly been used in European competition and in the FA Cup but the 24-year-old is not satisfied and thinks he is worthy of more opportunities in the Premier League.
The ambitious keeper has impressed when given the opportunity this season and the Manchester Evening News claim Dean has made his frustrations clear to Ole.
It’s claimed he has told the Norwegian tactician that he is deserving of more chances in the PL and if he’s not made no.1 next campaign he will attempt to leave the club this summer.
Henderson penned a new five-year deal last summer, in spite of attracting interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
De Gea’s form has improved this season compared to last term but his recent form has been called into question after two costly errors in a 3-3 draw against Everton earlier this month.
The ex-Atletico Madrid stopper is United’s top earner on £350,000 per week and few clubs in the world could afford to match David’s wages should United opt to sell in the summer, meaning the club could be forced to cover some of De Gea’s salary to get him off the books.
