La Liga Wide Attacker Could Make January Move To Arsenal
Arsenal are interested in signing Vinicius Junior, with Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid open to the possibility of selling the Brazilian attacker, according to a recent report from Spanish outlet OK Diario……..La Liga Wide Attacker Could Make January Move To Arsenal
After enjoying a couple of solid campaigns with Los Blancos, Vinicius Junior now finds himself way down the pecking order under the French chief.
As a result, he has seen playing time come at a premium in the ongoing campaign. Vinicius has made 23 appearances in all competitions thus far, scoring and assisting three goals apiece.
However, only eight of those have been starts in the Spanish top-flight, while he was one of the club’s poorest performers in the surprise Copa del Rey defeat to Alcoyano.
With the Galacticos operating on a tight budget because of coronavirus and renovation costs of the Santiago Bernabeu, they are now willing to sell Vinicius in order to generate funds to launch a move for top transfer target Kylian Mbappe in the summer.
And, Junior’s potential availability on a transfer has piqued the interest of the Gunners.
Arsenal have previously been mentioned with a loan move for Vinicius and could be intrigued by the possibility of landing him on a permanent basis as the club are in need of more ammunition from the wide zones.
Nicolas Pepe has failed to justify his club-record transfer sum since arriving in 2019 while last summer’s acquisition, Willian, has been quite poor as well.
This has left youngster Bukayo Saka to do the heavy-lifting from out wide, as fellow youngster Gabriel Martinelli continues to battle injury issues and striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggles for form.
So adding a player like the Brazilian, with plenty of untapped potential, can add more quality to their frontline.
