Manchester United Handed Massive Injury Boost Before West Ham Match

For the most part, Manchester United have managed to remain injury-free, especially when you consider the issues that teams like Liverpool and Manchester City have had to face on that front. But at this point of time, the Red Devils do have their fair share of injuries to worry about as well…….Manchester United Handed Massive Injury Boost Before West Ham Match

Confirmed Man Utd Xi Vs West Ham (Premier League Home, 2020/21)

Paul Pogba has been out for quite some time now and its effect has certainly been felt on the pitch. The Frenchman was in incredible form before picking up an injury in the 3-3 draw vs Everton in early February. Since then, it has been tougher for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to break down opposition teams.

And now, they find themselves without too many options up front as well. Edinson Cavani has had his injury issues this season and Anthony Martial had to be taken off against AC Milan in mid-week with a hip issue.

Another player who picked up an injury recently is Marcus Rashford. But he has handed Solskjaer a timely boost heading into the game against West Ham United.

It looks like Rashford has been able to recover from the ankle injury that he suffered against Manchester City and has been included in the squad for this evening’s game.

Here is the squad for the game, as reported by Manchester Evening News:

Henderson, Bishop, Grant; Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Maguire, Bailly, Telles, Shaw; Matic, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes; James, Rashford, Shoretire, Amad, Greenwood

Now, it is questionable whether he is fit enough to be starting this game. But still, the Englishman is a brilliant option to have, even if on the bench.

This is an important game for both teams. Manchester United will be looking to keep their title hopes alive with all three points. A defeat on the other hand could put them in the middle of a top four battle with the likes of Leicester City, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United themselves, who have top four aspirations of their own.
