Rossoneri are yet to reach a deal with Blues for out-of-favour footballer Tiemoue Bakayoko due to the London giants standing firm on their demands. The London giants are demanding a €30m obligatory purchase option be included as part of Bakayoko’s loan move, with the Rossoneri unwilling to agree to this so far.
To make matters, even more, tough, Blues are insisting that the purchase option is not tied to any game conditions or performance-related clauses, with the club hoping to guarantee a sale.
Chelsea signed France international in the summer of 2017 for £40m. His debut campaign was a disaster and he was subsequently cast aside when Maurizio Sarri arrived, heading out to San Siro on loan. The French midfielder would like to come back to Italy, however, the ace is yet to reach a formal contract deal with the Rossoneri.
Tiemoue recently turned 26 years old, while his time at Stamford Bridge has been a disaster, he’s got much time to re-establish himself as a top player, with the Rossoneri offering the perfect platform for that.
From a personal perspective, the next campaign is absolutely massive for Tiemoue’s career, the right move will allow the ace to get back on track and even challenge for a spot in the Les Bleus’ Euros squad.
Blues have a reputation for being tough negotiators so it will be interesting to see if they ease their demands when it comes to a footballer that clearly has no place in the English manager’s squad.
