Statement Released As Chelsea Get Very Late January Transfer Deal OFFICIALLY Done
Blues outcast Baba Rahman has joined Greek side PAOK on loan until the end of the season. However, he failed to make the kind of impact at the club that many at Chelsea had hoped for, and over the last few seasons, he has been shifted out on-loan on numerous occasions, while also starring for the under-23 side.
But as his future at the club looks, bleak, he will not spend the next few months at PAOK after agreeing a loan move to the Green side until the end of the season
A statement read: “Baba Rahman has today moved on loan to Greek side PAOK for the remainder of the campaign.”
It continued: “His new loan club PAOK are known to Chelsea supporters for our games against them in the Europa League in 2018.”
At PAOK, who are currently in 4th place in the Greek Super League, he will be expected to fill in as a starter at the left back position after Dimitrios Giannoulis’ departure to Norwich City. While there were rumors of a buying option being inserted into the deal, there is no official confirmation on the front yet.
It was a shame that such a gifted player was unable to make any sort of impact at Chelsea, but if he impresses at the Greek side, he may get a permanent move away from the clun and try to forge a more successful career in the game
Good luck to the man, and hopefully it works out all for the best
