The Hammers and Wolves target Jesus Corona has convinced Porto’s president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa to cut his £45m price-tag down to only £25m. Two months ago West Ham United and Wolverhampton are both keen on signing Mexico international turned right-back. Jesus corona has been in sensational form for Porto this campaign. Corona has racked up four goals and an incredible 17 assists in 44 matches for the Portuguese giants from right-back. Hammers and Wolves could pick up Corona for only £25m now.
And despite the financial woes in the match caused by the global health crisis, that still could represent great value for either West Ham United or Wolverhampton. David Moyes certainly needs to bring a new right-back to the London Stadium this summer.
Wolves’ need for that kind of singing isn’t quite as pressing. But even so, Nuno Espirito Santo would surely love to have the 27-year-old player at Molineux. The Mexican attacker is a fleet-footed, marauding full-back. If we’re honest, he is probably better suited to Wolves’ system than he is Hammers’.
Corona Jesus would surely be more tempted to move to the Molineux than the London Stadium. And as things stand, who could blame him. They might be able to convince Corona to move to east London. But West Ham United fans won’t be holding out much hope with David Sullivan and David Gold at the helm.
Corona Jesus would have been the perfect signing for the Hammers. But if the Porto player has a choice between West Ham and Chelsea, there will surely be only one outcome.
